Testimonials for the Butterfly Suite

This was my first time staying on MDI in the winter, after many fall visits. Marc's cottage was warm and cozy with all the necessary equipment for my 7 week winter rental. Southwest Harbor has much to offer in the winter: great hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and few tourists. Marc was a great host and his Hospitality Suite provided entertainment, reading material and just about every bit of kitchen gear I needed. He was helpful in getting a DSL line installed and also keeping the drive plowed and sanded. Any time of year you will enjoy his comfortable vacation cottage choices. Much better than the average Maine cottage rental!

We truly enjoyed our fall stay in the cozy, sweet Butterfly cottage. My night owl, bookworm husband loved being right next door to the hospitality center where he could freely explore the wonderful library. He enjoyed scanning many books of interest and borrowed some great DVD’s for our after sundown entertainment. I loved getting up early to go off adventuring with my camera and kayak in Acadia and other parts of Mt. Dessert Island and when I arrived back at the Butterfly cottage, I’d find my husband happily soaking up the sun as he ate his afternoon breakfast at a picnic table in the courtyard. The first floor set up, with a handicapped accessible bathroom was a boon for one with bad knees. And we appreciated the accommodating hospitality and sociability of the staff there at Anna’s. We’ve already recommended the place to several friends.
